These were new and never had been on our Expedition 4 x 4. Going 25-30 MPH top speed in the ice and snow one tire chain totally shredded nearly causing a flat it was so bad. Total garbage. We were fortunate that this happened in town just as we had turned off the dangerous hwy 38 in a snow storm. If you try to drive 25 or more with these on you are going to die. The posted speed limit when these are required in Ca. is 25 or less. I recommend less a then 20 mps as you may not be able to stop and the traction control device is required due to poor road conditions.
