The Monroe Sensa-Trac passenger car shock absorber with PSD (position sensitive damping) and the Safe Tech system combines our exclusive precision tapered grooves in the pressure tube with application engineered valving and Fluon banded piston to improve the ride, handling, and safety characteristics of the vehicle. These features allow the Monroe Sensa-Trac passenger car shock absorber to adjust more rapidly to changing road and weight conditions than any other available shock absorber.

Made in USA has really declined in Monroe. The upper bell cover was not properly lined up so I had to line it up before I installed it. I was really disappointed Monroe would allow this defect to leave the factory, it would have embarrassed me to have my name on it. Seeing this made me wonder how the insides were made. The rest of the exterior construction did nothing restore my confidence in Monroe.
So far the shocks are working very well but who knows for how long. After seeing the poor QC I will not buy Monroe in the future.
